Vietnam and Korea to co-host World’s cultural festival 2017

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just approved the  proposal of HCMC People’s Committee that Ho Chi Minh City and Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea co- host 2017 world’s cultural festival.
 
The cultural festival is considered as the large- scale cultural exchange event with multiform activities to introduce cultures of the Republic of Korea and different countries in the fields of food, music, fashion, film, literature and trade and investment promotion.
 
The festival is organized every two years by the RoK Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the United Nations World Tourism Organization. It was launched for the first time in 1998.

The event will be a favorable chance to advertise culture, image and beautiful landscapes of Vietnam to international friends; and attract tourists from the Republic of Korea and foreign countries to Vietnam.

As schedule, the 2017 world’s cultural festival will be held within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Forum 2017 (APEC 2017).
