The cast round of the Face Vietnam 2017 was kicked off in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in March, attracting thousands of young women.
Three supermodel coaches of this year’s competition will be Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2015 Tran Ngoc Lan Khue, and models Hoang Thuy and Minh Tu.
Lan Khue was one of the three coaches in the Face Vietnam 2016, including pop star Ho Ngoc Ha and Miss Universe Vietnam 2015, Pham Huong.
Lan Khue - a German-major student of HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, has been voted as one of the 2015 world's top 50 beautiful women by the Global Beauties website. Model Lan Khue is one of the country’s most outstanding models. She also won the third prize in the Asian Supermodel contest in 2012 in China and the Golden Award for Vietnam Model in 2013. Lan Khue was represent the country at Miss World 2015.
Hoang Thuy was winner of the Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011 contest. She was a student of the Hanoi University of Architecture. Thuy has walked on international catwalks in London, New York.
Minh Tu is one of the leading models in the country. She has performed in many international fashion shows at home and abroad. Tu is among contestants in the fifth season of Asia’s Next Top Model which has been aired since April 5. Filming for cycle five took place in Singapore and Malaysia.
The Face is an American reality television modeling competition series and premiered February 12, 2013, on Oxygen chanel. The Face Vietnam is a Vietnamese modeling-themed reality television series, based on the US. The first season premiered in June, 2016 on the national televition chanel VTV3.
