The event introduces to viewers ceramic products which have diverse designs and sophisticated patterns featuring Vietnamese cultural characteristics, such as Vietnamese woman wearing an Ao Dai, calligraphers writing and selling nice words written in calligraphy to customers on Tet holidays and others.
Thanh Le pottery was created in 1950 by Vietnamese artist Nguyen Thanh Le (1919-2003) who graduated from Thu Dau Mot Applied Fine Art School.
The business’ ceramic products include a mixture of styles ranging from traditional fine arts and art-deco. They are varnished with special colors of lavender, pear shell black, lotus pink, representing the Vietnamese soul
Thanh Le is a popular pottery brand that was developed in Lai Thieu, the land of pottery in the southern province of Binh Duong. Lai Thieu is home of a network of traditional craft villages, specializing in ceramics, lacquer, sculpture and bass casting.
