A food festival introducing various dishes of the Southern Regions will be held at Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City from May 16-19.
The Southern Region Cuisine Festival 2013 will have more than 100 display booths of around 60 enterprises.
There will also be a series of activities including folk games, art performances, and competitions titled ‘Southern Delicious Food’ and ‘Fruit-Vegetable Sculpture’, at the festival.
Gastronomes will have a chance to experience cultural and culinary delicacies of different regions including the central coast, the highlands, and the southern region.
The event is jointly being held by the HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the representative office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in HCMC; the City Tourism Association and the Phu Tho Travel Services Company.
