Southern Fruit Festival 2018 to return in June 1

The 14th Southern Fruit Festival 2018 will be held at the Suoi Tien Cultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 9 from June 1-17.

The annual event aims to present diversity of fruits in the southern region and honor achievements in agriculture industry and fruit growers.
The festival is also an opportunity for localities, garden centers and visitors to meet and exchange ideas about new species of plants and seedlings.
The event will have various activities including a fruit floating-market, delicious fruit contest, carving art with fruit and vegetables, fruit parade, an ornamental tree and animal exhibition, a display on agriculture, farm machinery, making a variety of fruit drinks, a week of Vietnamese fruits and art performances. Notably, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase fruits at discounted prices of 20-30 percent.
The event’s organizers, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City, Suoi Tien Culture Tourism Joint Stock Company and the Department of Industry and Trade expect to receive 1.6 million visitors.
