The Moscow State Dance Academic Theater, Gzhel gives a performance at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on October 12 to mark the 15th anniversary of the Russian Center of Science and Culture.

The Moscow State Dance Academic Theatre Gzhel was founded in 1988 by the People's Artist of Russia, Professor Vladimir Zakharov on the occasion of the 650th anniversary of the most well-known and most recognizable traditional Russian handicraft creations, Gzhel ceramics. In Russian, the name Gzhel also refers to a Russian style of ceramics which takes its name from the village of Gzhel and surrounding area situated in Moscow Oblast. The ceramics has been produced there since 1802.
In 1999, the theater was awarded the “Academic Theater” title for its considerable artistic contribution in the Russian national choreography and for choreographic education achievements.
The Moscow State Dance Academic Theatre Gzhel also performed at Hanoi Opera House on October 10.
