Russian folk dance group to perform in Hue Festival 2018

"Siberian Patterns", a well-known folk dance troupe from Novosibirsk, Russian Federation will participate in the 10th Hue Festival.

The dance troupe "Siberian Patterns" was founded in 1995 by Irina Ovechkina, a Laureate of the Government’s Award of the Russian Federation. The ensemble will bring a rich repertoire of selective traditional performances from various regions throughout Russia.
Art troupes, including the Berywam beatbox band and the Lysistrata rock band from France and the Urpin Folk Ensemble from Slovakia have registered to take part in the biennial Hue Festival in Hue City in Thua Thien-Hue Province scheduled to take place from April 27, 2018-May 2, according to the organizers.
The 2018 Hue Festival themed “Cultural heritage with integration and development, Hue- one destination five heritages” would be a venue for international arts exchanges between countries. It also aims to promote Vietnamese and Hue culture and the tourism-socio-economic development of Thua Thien-Hue Province, said the organization board.
The event will be a chance to introduce to international visitors UNESCO heritages of the old capital of Vietnam, including Hue Complex of Monuments, Hue Royal Court Music, Woodblocks of Nguyen Dynasty, Nguyen Dynasty's royal documents and the royal literature on Hue royal architecture.
