The song is a combination of rock sound and orchestra instruments will be played by singer Tung Duong, the symphony orchestra, concert band, and choir. It is the first time that rock symphony is performed in this yearly concert, said Meritorious Artist Nguyen Tri Dung, director of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO).
The concert will open with Vietnam's national anthem, “Tien Quan Ca" (Song of Marching Troops) of musician Van Cao performed by the VNSO under the baton of noted conductor Le Phi Phi.
Meritorious Artist Dr. Bui Cong Duy,singers Dang Duong, Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Le Anh Dung, Dao To Loan, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Dao Mac, Pham Thuy Dung, Tran Hong Nhung, Duong Hoang Yen and artists of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform at the event.
Famous rocker and songwriter Tran Lap died in Hanoi in March, 2016 after a courageous 5-month battle with cancer. The iconic singer whose real name is Tran Quyet Lap was born in 1974 in the northern province of Nam Dinh. He was founder of the Buc Tuong (The Wall) rock band that was formed in 1995. The rock band includes three members, musician Tran Lap, guitarist Tran Tuan Hung and Nguyen Hoang. The band grew up from musical movement of students. The band is regarded as a leading rock band in Vietnam.
Lap was author of many ballad rock songs, favored by generations of students over the past 20 years, such as Bong hong thuy tinh (The glass rose), Dung nhu hon da (Don't be like a stone), Nguoi dan ba hoa da (The woman turned into stone) and more.
