Photo exhibitions mark Uncle Ho's 126th birthday

Two photo exhibitions marking the 126th birth anniversary of the late president Ho Chi Minh, which falls on May 19 (1890-2016) opened in Ho Chi Minh City.

The display titled “President Ho Chi Minh-Vietnamese national beloved leader” at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street honors the life and contributions of Uncle Ho to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, and presents significant achievements of Ho Chi Minh city in the process of studying and following Uncle teachings.

The exhibition called “President Ho Chi Minh's morals - Bright example to younger generations” on Dong Khoi Street displays pictures on the ideology and morals of President Ho Chi Minh and achievements of sectors and agencies in the city in the process of studying and following Uncle teachings.

The events also aim to mark 105 years since he left Vietnam to seek national salvation and 40 years since Saigon-Gia Dinh was named after President Ho Chi Minh, elections of the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2020 term.

They will run until May 27.
