Photo exhibitions mark national events

The display titled “Great victory in Spring 1975- Proud of Ho Chi Minh City’ building and development during 35 years” aims to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the National Reunification Day on April 30 (1975-2010), the Labor Day on May 1, the 120th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (1890-2010) and 1,000th anniversary of the founding of Thang Long – Hanoi.

To mark the 35th anniversary of the publication of the first issue (May 5, 1975-2010) and the National Reunification Day, Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper (SGGP) also opened a photo exhibition called “Moments in 35 years” in Hanoi on April 21.

More than 100 pictures taken by journalists in the display is regarded as a panorama of SGGP Newspaper and Ho Chi Minh City during 35 years, said SGGP’s editor in chief Tran The Tuyen.

They also depict affection of leaders and people in the country for the active and creative newspaper, he added.

The event was attended by Minister of Information and Communication Le Doan Hop, Mr. Andrey G. Kovtun, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Fredesman Turro Gongalez, Cuban Ambassador ,
