Photo exhibition of Tet Offensive 1968 to open on Lunar New Year

A photo exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1968 and the 88th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-2018) will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on the Lunar New Year. 

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has planned to kick off activities and programs on the Lunar New Year such as colorful light decoration, Nguyen Hue Flower Street, street book festival, spring flower fair and flower market, Tet cake festival, Tet cake offering ceremony to commemorate Hung Kings, flower and incense offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang …

Colorful light festival will take place at Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ham Nghi, Dong Khoi, Le Duan, Pham Ngoc Thach, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Hue, Hai Ba trung, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Truong Son and Nguyen Van Troi streets on February 1-28 (on December 16- January 13 of the lunar calendar).

Street Book Festival is scheduled to take place at Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Hue and Ngo Duc Ke streets from February 13- 19 (from 28th December to fourth January of the lunar calendar.

As plan, the festival will introduce books and documentaries after the 50 years of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1968 and founding and development of Sai Gon- Gia Dinh and Ho Chi Minh City.
