Painting exhibition present famous artists’ works

A painting exhibition celebrating 87th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (on February 3) and the lunar New Year 2017 opened at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi on January 23.

A painting exhibition celebrating 87th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (on February 3) and the lunar New Year 2017 opened at Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi on January 23.

The display titled “Paths of the country” presents to the public 100 watercolor paintings by 70 famous artists of the Vietnam contemporary fine arts, such as To Ngoc Van, Tran Van Can, Nguyen Sang, Nguyen Van Ty, Ta Thuc Binh, Tran Dinh Tho, Huynh Van Thuan and others.

The exhibits portray people from various age groups, careers and levels of education in every region in the country.

The oldest work, Song Dong Ba (Dong Ba River)-Hue was painted by Nguyen Van Long in 1941; and the youngest picture is Duong ham (Tunnel) by Thuc Phi in 1982.

The event will run until February 20.
