A ‘Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival’ of the Cham Ethnic Minority Group will be held in the central coastal province of Ninh Thuan from October 14-16.
The festival will take place at the Po Klongirai Tower, a stadium in Huu Duc Commune in Huu Phuoc Ward, in My Nghiep traditional brocade weaving village, and the Bau Truc traditional pottery village.
The event will include a series of culture, sports and tourism activities such as art performances and showcasing of Cham people’s traditional costumes, folk festivals and sport games, exhibition on social, economic, cultural and tourism achievements of the Cham Ethnic Minority Group and a seminar on preservation and promotion of Cham cultural values.
The festival is also a chance to honor the Cham people’s culture, promote tourism potential and destinations in the central coastal province of Ninh Thuan.
More than 1,000 Cham people from neighboring provinces and cities such as Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and An Giang will participate in the event.
