A new book on General Vo Nguyen Giap’s childhood and youth has just been released by the Kim Dong Publishing House.
The book includes three chapters on the general’s childhood and one part of the age of 20.
The book is written by Lieutenant General Pham Hong Cu with the help of late General Vo Nguyen Giap's wife, Dang Bich Ha.
The book, titled Dai Tuong Vo Nguyen Giap Thoi Tre (General Vo Nguyen Giap's Youth), was published in accordance with his wish before he passed away in 2013.
In 1960, the General invited writer Huu Mai, Colonel Pham Chi Nhan and Cu to his house to discuss helping him write a biography.
The book gives readers concrete and completed information on the General and deep insights into his work and personal life.
