This year’s event attracts 22 drama troupes featuring 27 plays, including 13 private troupes.
Performances will take place at the Ho Chi Minh City Army Theater, Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater, Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater, 5B Stage Theater, The Gioi Tre (World of youth) Theater , Phu Nhuan Theater, Sai Gon Theater, Idecaf Theater, Cutltural Center of district 6, Student’s Cultural House from April 11- 25.
The event is organized by the Department of Performing Arts, Ho Chi Minh City Stage Association; Vietnam Stage Artists Association; and HCM City’s Department of Culture and Sport.
The Vietnam Drama Theater opened the festival with the play “Kieu” directed by People’s Artist Anh Tu, based on Truyen Kieu (Tale Kieu) by great poet Nguyen Du
