The Japanese Culture Festival opens at the district 8’s cultural center in HCMC on October 21.

The festival is treating visitors to a series of performances and activities that show the unique culture and lifestyle of Japan, such as Japanese tea ceremony, the traditional Japanese art of origami—folding paper, Japanese clay art, Amigurumi knitting, making Onigiri & Makizushi sushi rolls, performances of traditional dance of Yasakoi , traditional martial art and J-pop, and among.
Visitors will have also a chance to enjoy Japanese craft dolls and participate in folk games like kingyo sukui, bingo, mizu yoyo, katanuki, igo, karuta, omikuji, and fukuwarai.
There are stalls offering Japanese special products, gifts, cosplay costumes along with food booths.
The event is expected to give young people an opportunity to experience Japanese culture as well strengthen the Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange.
