Japanese cherry blossom to bloom in Hanoi

As many as 50 Japanese cherry blossom trees and 10,000 blossom branches will reach full bloom at the Japanese cherry blossom festival that is open to the public on March 23-26 in Hanoi.

Fresh cherry blossoms have been brought from Japan to Vietnam for the event at Ly Thai To Park. 
The Japanese cherry blossom festival is one of the activities marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam.
The festival will also feature traditional Japanese activities such as Japanese tea ceremony, performances of Japanese toy Kendama, Japanese chess Shogi, along with Vietnamese folk music programs and exchanges of health and education.
Visitors will have also a chance to enjoy delicious dishes of the two countries and Japanese traditional dance called Yosakoi that will be performed by 1,000 local students. On this occasion, the Japan's Wanokai International Culture Association will plant 200 cherry blossom trees in Hoa Binh park.
