Int’l Children's Summer Camp opens in HCMC

An International Children's Summer Camp themed ‘Embracing the Arms of Friends’ opened at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City on July 24.

An International Children's Summer Camp themed ‘Embracing the Arms of Friends’ opened at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City on July 24.

The five-day camp has attracted 150 children aged 12 to 15 who have achieved excellent results in their studies and other extracurricular social activities in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, and Battambang and Kampol Provinces of Cambodia; Champasak Province and Vientiane, capital of Laos; and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The children will participate in cultural-exchange programs such as painting contests and games; learning about the habits and customs of the three countries; offering flowers to the late President Ho Chi Minh at Nha Rong Wharf; watching a documentary on Uncle Ho; visiting Thu Thiem tunnel; Ho Chi Minh City's highest building, the Bitexco Financial Tower; War Remnants Museum; Rung Sac Guerilla Base in Can Gio mangrove swamp; Ben Duoc Temple in Cu Chi District; and enjoying a show of water puppetry.
