Hoi An ancient town opens ‘Rest point for tourists’

On occasion of the 14th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town being recognized as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, the local authorities inaugurated ‘Rest point for tourists’ building at 57 Tran Phu Street.

The two-storey house covers an area of more than 200 square meters, displaying paintings by local and foreign artists, photos, prints and travel guide books of the town.

Travelers can visit adjacent heritage spaces including an Exhibition House at 46 Hoi An and the Folk Cultural Museum at 33 Tran Phu Street, Hoi An Traditional Art Performance House on Bach Dang Street and Hoai River.

Hoi An is in the central province of Quang Nam and was a major trading center of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. It was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.

It is one of the most popular tourist destinations for local and international visitors to Vietnam.
