HCMC Book Festival 2018 reaches turnover of over VND60 billion

The 10th Ho Chi Minh City Book Festival that was held at the Le Van Tam Park in District 1 on March 19-25 attracted around one million visitors, up 10 percent over the same period last year

The week-long book fair gained a turnover of over VND60 billion (US$2.6 million), increasing 20 percent in comparison with the previous festival..
This year’s event themed “Book-Culture, Integration and Development” attracted more than 900 display booths of 180 publishers and book distributors, including 40 foreign publishing houses of Japan, South Korea, the U.S., European and Southeast Asian countries.
The festival introduced to readers 350,000 titles with more than 35 million copies and offered many discounts from 20-50 percent. About 100 activities, including seminars, speeches from authors and readers, exhibitions on rare and valuable works were held during the event.
