An exhibition entitled ‘The Vietnamese Communist Party through its Congresses’ opened at the National Library in Hanoi on January 11. The exhibition displayed 800 items, including documentaries, about the Party and the late President Ho Chi Minh.
The exhibition also welcomed the 11th Party Congress and marked the 81st founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), which is February 3.
The exhibition explains in details about the various victories the Vietnamese people have achieved over the past 80 years. In addition, there are 600 books and more than 50 photographs featuring the establishment and development of the CPV.
The show highlights the CPV’s important historical milestones, including a conference to unite all communist organisations in Vietnam. The show is presided over by ‘Nguyen Ai Quoc’, who marked the CPV’s inception in February 1930, and the preceding 10 National Party Congresses.
The documents displayed, most of which had been published into books, magazines and newspapers, provide a deep and meaningful perspective of the CPV’s National Congresses; as well as the struggle of generations of resilient communists, that have laid down their lives for national independence. The exhibition will last January 19.
In related news, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation, led by Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh-Ton Duc Thang statue in Hanoi on January 11.
The delegation observed a one-minute silence to commemorate two late presidents ‘Ho Chi Minh’ and ‘Ton Duc Thang’. These two individuals are great examples of the patriotic and communist spirit that fought to secure Vietnam’s independence and development.
The statue was a gift from HCM City to Hanoi for the millennial celebrations of Thang Long and Hanoi.
