European Book Day 2018 opens in Hanoi

The European Book Day 2018 opens at European Village in Ly Thai To Flower Garden in Hanoi on May 5.

The event organized by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in collaboration with Embassies of the EU member states is part of the 2018 Europe Days which have been taking place in Hanoi and HCM City starting on April 26.
The event presents to book lovers literary works of authors from ten European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Spain and Sweden.
There will be book presentations, readings, workshops, talks, film screenings, quiz games, and discounted programs.
Highlights are introductions of popular classical books, such as including “Les Jungles Moi” by Henri Maitre and “We have eaten the forest” by Georges Condominas; seminars on great novels, including “The Magical World Of Hans Christian Andersen”, “Don Quixote and Sancho Panza”, “In Times of Fading Light” byEugen Ruge , “The Life of the Bee” by Maurice Maeterlinck, and “The Tin Drum” by Günter Grass.
The European Book Day 2018 will be also held at IDECAF, General Sciences Library, Saturday café, Nguyen Van Binh Book Street in Ho Chi Minh City on May 12-20.
