Da Lat Cultural Tourism Week 2013, the Vietnam-ASEAN-UNESCO Heritage Festival, the 120th anniversary of Da Lat City, the fifth Da Lat Flower Festival and Central Highlands-Da Lat National Tourism Year 2014 will all take place from December 27-31.
A series of cultural activities will be held during the five-day event, such as a night street festival on Hoa Binh Street and art performances.
A national flower exhibition will be held during Da Lat Cultural Week with nearly 130 domestic and international enterprises from the flower growing industry participating in the display at Da Lat City Flower Park.
A statue of Uncle Ho made of flowers measuring 4m high and 5.2m wide will be one of the highlights. In addition, Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago, the sovereignty landmark and the red flag with a gold star will also be made of stone and flowers at the festival, highlighting Vietnam's sovereignty over the Islands and Sea.
The cultural week aims to boost tourism, the local flower growing industry, and honor the popular resort town.
