Concert to raise fund for northern flood victims

The Anh Em (brothers) and the O-Plus bands, together with singers My Linh, Tung Duong, Tuan Anh, Tan Nhan, Ngoc Anh, Ngoc Khue, Dinh Manh Ninh, Duong Hoang Yen, Nhat Thuy, Ta Quang Thang, Vu Thang Loi and Thuy Chi will join the show.

The program will be hosted at Hanoi Opera House on August 10. Tickets for the 8 p.m. event are VND500,000-VND1,000,000 (US$23.8- US$47.62).

All proceeds will go into a fund to support flood victims in Quang Ninh and Dien Bien provinces.
Quang Ninh was last week hit by the heaviest rain recorded in 40 years, causing flooding. As many as 17 people lost their lives; 10,000 houses collapsed; and 4,000ha of rice and crops were damaged. Northern provinces, including Dien Bien and Son La, also suffered the torrential rains and floods.
