Music lovers will have a chance to enjoy the greatest love songs from films, such as Schindler’s List, Scent of a Woman, Memoirs of a Geisha, Scent of a Woman
There are also the Overture to Candide which is the most famous excerpt of the operetta; musical works of American composer, conductor, and pianist John Williams; and the symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27 by the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.
John Williams has composed some of the most popular and recognizable film scores in cinematic history Star Warsseries, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, the Indiana Jones series, the first three Harry Potter films. He has won 23 Grammy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, five Academy Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards and received the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2016.
Meanwhile a section of the Symphony No. 2 is used several times in the 2014 film Birdman, and is even used in the trailers promoting it.
The concert is co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh city Union of Friendship Organization and the Vietnam – America Friendship Association in the city.
