City’s first street food area opens

Ho Chi Minh City’s first street food area has been officially opened on the sidewalks of Nguyen Van Chiem street in District 1 on August 28.

Around 20 street food stalls are open to the public from 6:00 – 9:00 am and 11:00-14:00 pm in the street food zone. Food carts offer a wide range of dishes and drinks meeting the requirements for food hygiene and safety.
The project of vendors’ food area is launched by the People’s Committee of District 1, aiming at assisting vendors to continue their means of living in accordance with the law and restoring order to sidewalks across the district.
The second street food zone is expected to open at Bach Tung Diep Park in September.
