Canon PhotoMarathon Competition 2014 kicks off

Around 3,000 competitors participated in the ninth photo contest Canon PhotoMarathon in Quan Ngua Sports Complex, at 30 Van Cao, Ba Dinh District in Hanoi on Spetember 27.

The first theme was “ Noi toi yeu men – My Favorite Place” which contestants had to take photos at three different places. The organizing board will select the most excellent photo.

This year the competition includes one special prize and three other prizes for one theme. The winner capturing the special prize will receive a training course in professional photography in Japan; one Canon camera EOS 6D and a color inkjet printer, copier and scanner PIXMA MG7170.

The winners who capture the first, second and third prizes will be given a camera EOS 700D Kit 18-55mm; a digital camera EOS 600D Kit 18-55mm and a digital EOS 1200D Kit 18-55mm and a color inkjet printer, copier and scanner PIXMA MG7170 respectively.

The competition will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on October 4 with same prizes.

The novel features of this year competition are that the competitors’ enrolment fee will be contributed to the charity fund “Canon for the future generation” that will be used to build classrooms for students in disadvantaged districts.

Accordingly, the primary school Na Cai in Chieng On Commune in the mountainous northern province of  Son La will be built in 2015.
