Biennial National Fine Arts Contest to be launched in April

The 5th Biennial National Fine Arts Contest 2019 will be kicked off nationwide on April 20 by  HCMC Fine Arts Association, HCMC University of Fine Arts and HCMC Fine Arts Museum.

This year’s competition themed “The new spirit” is open to contestants of the age from 18-45. Submissions include painting, digital art, sculpture, video art, installation art and other forms of art. They are the latest artworks which have been created from April , 2017- January, 2019.

Entries can be sent to the HCMC Fine Arts Association, 218A Pasteur Street, district 3 in HCMC from January 15-February 28, 2019.
The organization board will present one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 5 encouragement prizes.
Launched for the first time in 2009, the contest aims to encourage the artists’ creativity and diversification of materials, and honor artworks reflecting contemporary life through the lenses of young Vietnamese artists and contributing in the development of Vietnamese contemporary fine arts.
