“Autumn Melody” concert clebrates its 10th anniversary

The Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will celebrate its 10th biennial concert titled “Autumn Melody” at the municipal Opera House from August 25-30.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will celebrate its 10th biennial concert titled “Autumn Melody” at the municipal Opera House from August 25-30.

The “Autumn Melody” program 2015 will include workshops on academic arts, outdoor shows and performances in the theater.

Music lovers will have a chance to enjoy masterpieces of composers Bach and Brahms, famous movie soundtracks, ballets and operas, contemporary dancing, and Vietnamese classic works.

Around 200 local and foreign artists of the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), such as violinist Bui Cong Duy, Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji, Dutch recorder player Paul Leenhouts, American violinist Cynthia Roberts, Polish violinist Ania Bard-Schwarz, American cellist Allen Whear, cellist Grace Ho from Taiwan (China) and the Royal Norwegian Navy Band will join the event.

There will be also artists studying and working at home and abroad, likely choreographer Bui Anh Quan from Belgium, violinist Stephane Tran Ngoc from France, famous conductor Le Phi Phi from Macedonia, violinist Vu Viet Chuong from the US.

Since it began in 2005, the annual ‘Autumn Melody’ concert has received a lot of support and contributions from hundreds of local and foreign artists, and regarded as a place for Vietnamese and foreign musicians to meet and exchange the latest in music news, and where music lovers can have a great experience.

The music show is organized every two years starting 2013.
