Australian ambassador praises Duyen Dang Viet Nam

Australian ambassador to Vietnam Bill Tweddell has remarked that the Thanh Nien fundraiser Duyen Dang Viet Nam (Charming Vietnam) held in his homeland this fall was a great success.
In a meeting with Minister of Culture and Information Pham Quang Nghi Thursday, the ambassador praised Vietnam Cultural Days in Australia, which included the Charming Vietnam show jointly organized by Thanh Nien and Vietnam Airlines in October and November.

Minister Nghi said the shows, which took place in Canberra and Sydney, offered Vietnamese expatriates in Australia chances to enjoy spiritual dishes from the homeland and helped Australian invitees learn more about Vietnamese culture.

The ambassador also highlighted Vietnam’s active cooperation in the bilateral cultural exchange projects.

The Australian Embassy this year has organized many cultural events in Vietnam, including photo exhibitions and Australian Film Festival, which help improve Vietnamese people’s understanding of Australia, the world’s smallest continent, and its people.
