The event attracts 7 troupes from Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Wallonie Bruxelles (Belgium), France, Brazil, and the host Vietnam.
The festival aims to promote the cooperation in the culture and art sector between Vietnam and other countries. It is expected to be a venue for domestic puppetry art troupes of the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, the Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre, Ho Chi Minh city Puppetry Arts Troupe, and the northern Hai Phong city Puppetry Arts Troupe.
On this occasion, domestic artists will have a chance to present the value of Vietnamese puppetry arts and culture to international friends. It is also an opportunity for art manager, Vietnamese puppetry artists exchange experiences of artistic creativity, and learn the quintessence of the human puppet art.
The organization board will select specific performance to present to audiences in Vinh Phuc and Ninh Binh provinces.
