Minister Truong Minh Tuan is head of the board, deputy minister Pham Hong Hai is deputy head. The board's members comprise VNPT leaders.
Deputy director general of VNPT Huynh Quang Liem said that the group has set up a team to prepare for equitization and learn experiences other state own enterprises (SOEs) who have equitized such as Petrolimex and Vietnam Airlines and international consultant organizations.
Previously, deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai said that in 2018 VNPT would restructure to head toward equtization according to the roadmap approved by Prime Minister. This is a special important mission requiring the group to concentrate on implementing.
The group needs to refer to experiences of equitized SOEs and international organizations to go equitization publicly, transparently and lawfully.
VNPT is one of 18 enterprises in the equitization list approved by the PM in the phase of 2017-2020.
According to Decision 2129 by the Prime Minister on December 29, 2017, VNPT must ensure that equitization will be done in 2019.
