Vinamilk to develop nutritional products for children

Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company or Vinamilk has signed an agreement on March 1, with three leading European partners for a program to study and apply nutrition science to develop special nutritional products for Vietnamese children.

Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company or Vinamilk has signed an agreement on March 1, with three leading European partners for a program to study and apply nutrition science to develop special nutritional products for Vietnamese children.

The program, between Vietnam’s biggest dairy producer and three European companies, namely DSM Group and Lonza Group of Switzerland and the Denmark-based Chr.Hansen group will cooperate in clinical research, information exchange and the development of new products. There will also be support in clinical assessment of product effectiveness, training in human resources and how to enhance trademarks.

The program will help Vinamilk to apply the most modern scientific techniques to its nutritional products for the country’s children.

Nguyen Quoc Khanh, executive director of production at Vinamilk said their strategy for the next three years was to continue to push for research on nutritional health for Vietnamese children of all age groups.

The DSM, Lonza and Chr. Hansen groups are active in research on health and nutrition and have been working with Vinamilk for many years.
