The promotion is implemented for prepaid customers activated only in June. They will get it provided that the total all-day calling time exceeds two minutes. Free minutes are available as of 10 am the next day and are tallied for the next two days.

In addition, new prepaid customers in the program will get a 100% value of the scratch cards and bonus 60 days of usage.

Vietnamobile, with phone numbers starting with 092, is a partnership between Hutchison Telecommunications International and local operator Hanoi Telecom. It started its GSM network nationwide in April.

Hutchison previously operated under the name HT Mobile in Vietnam, using CDMA technology. Services were suspended in the middle of 2008 to prepare for the switch to GSM, which is expected to help improve business performance.

Vietnamobile charges its customers based on per second billing starting the moment a call is connected.
