Vietnamese, Malaysian businesses seek cooperation opportunities

The Trade and Investment Promotion Center in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday organized a meeting to connect Vietnamese and Malaysian enterprises & give them cooperation and market broadening opportunities.

The Trade and Investment Promotion Center in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday organized a meeting to connect Vietnamese and Malaysian enterprises & give them cooperation and market broadening opportunities.

Reports at the event showed that Vietnam's products has mainly been exported to Malaysia including crude oil, computers, electronics and components, phone and accessories, rubber and rice. Most of its import items from the nation have been vegetable and animal oils and fats, petrol, machine and components and plastic.

Malaysian firms have invested in fields such as energy, automobile assembly and accessories, food production and processing, beverage and education and training in Vietnam.

Meantime, Vietnam has poured US$813 million into oil and gas exploratory activities in Malaysia.
