Vietnamese firms invest in 47 new projects abroad

The Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment said an extra of 47 projects had been licensed to invest in 22 nations and territories in the first half this year with registered capital hitting US$155.4 million.

The Vietnamese enterprises invested most in Laos with US$53.9 million, accounting for 35 percent of total registered capital.

It was followed by the US with US$50.8 million and Germany with US$26.5 million.

The Vietnamese investors focused most on mining with the total investment fund of US$42.5 million, holding 27.4 percent of the total number.
 
The second most invested fields were wholesale and retail and automobile and motorbike repair with 18 new projects.
