Vietnam to audit three major fuel wholesalers

The State Audit of Vietnam held a press conference on February 9 to announce its plans for 2012, in which it will audit three of Vietnam’s major fuel wholesalers, namely Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrolimex), Military Petroleum Corporation and the Saigon Petro Company.

Le Minh Khai, Deputy General Auditor of SAV said that auditing will bring about more transparency in the fuel trading sector.

SAV will focus on auditing issues relating to management, the use of state-owned capital and compliance of regulations in the fuel trading sector.

At the press conference, SAV also announced that it had carried out 151 audits in 2010.
