Vietnam imports over 15,000 CBU cars from Thailand in seven months

Vietnam bought more than 15,000 complete built-up cars from Thailand in the first seven months this year.

According to the Vietnam Customs, in July alone, the country imported around 6,600 built-up cars totally worth $134 million, an increase of 96.2 percent in the quantity and 63.6 percent in the value against June.
Of the amount of the CBU cars, around 5,044 units worth $90 million were from Thailand in July; accordingly.
Vietnam also bought 975 CBU cars from Indonesia in July and in the first seven months it imported 986 units from Indonesia.
In addition, Vietnam also imported 140 CBU units from China, 114 units from the US, 110 units from Japan and 62 units from South Korea.
