Twelve SOEs equitized in Vietnam during 11 months

Twelve state owned enterprises were equitized in the first 11 months of 2018, according to reports at a press conference hosted by the Ministry of Finance in coordination with Steering Board on Enterprise Reform and Development and the Government Portal on November 19.

Last year, 69 enterprises whose value totals VND365,953 billion (US$15.72 billion) were equalized. Of the total value, state capital was VND160,156 billion.
State capital withdrawal of VND9,046 billion yielded VND138,327 billion including revenues from Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) and Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk).
Performance reports of 526 businesses last year showed that their total asset value topped VND3,000 trillion, equity topped VND1,300 trillion and revenue neared VND1,600 trillion, pre-tax profit touched VND167 trillion and tax payment hit VND219,468 billion.
