South Korea this year will receive over 5,000 Vietnamese guest workers who had returned home as scheduled, this information was revealed on January 31 by Phan Van Minh, Director of the Vietnamese Overseas Labour Centre under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
Phan Van Minh, Director of the Vietnamese Overseas Labor Centre under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said his centre and the RoK’s Human Resource Development Service will hold a computer-based Korean language test in early March for those who wish to apply for jobs again.
Last year, 2,600 Vietnamese workers who left the RoK on time took Korean language tests and more than 500 workers returned to work in the RoK for the second time.
In the first quarter of this year, the Vietnamese Overseas Labor Centre and the Overseas Labor Management Department will hold conferences in 15 cities and provinces with a high number of workers living illegally in the S. Korea in a move to call on them to come back.
