The Asia Pacific College in Ho Chi Minh City has just reported excellent results achieved by 17 of its students who sat for the Cambridge Contest for the academic year 2011-2012, four of who topped the contest.
Nguyen Thi Ngo, chairwoman of Asia Pacific College made the announcement at the school year-end closing ceremony, saying that of the 17 students who passed, four had come first in the contest.
At the ceremony, Ms. Ngo also disclosed the study and behavior performance of students during the academic year 2011-2012.
During the academic year, almost 100 per cent of the primary students were ranked with good behavior, and only 3.5 per cent were ranked with fair behavior.
For academic performance, 100 per cent of the students were awarded good and fair grades for the syllabus prepared by the Ministry of Education and Training. In the primary level English syllabus, 79 per cent were recognised as good students and 21 per cent as fair students.
Among the secondary students, 77 per cent were marked either good or fair for the ministry’s syllabus, while 50 per cent were marked either good or fair in the English curriculum, added Ms. Ngo.
Le Quang Trung, a sixth grade student, got the highest prize in the Asia Pacific Mathematics Olympiad.
