Twenty- three Russian firms were present at a meeting held by the office of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday to connect local and Russian firms.

Russian enterprises in the field of welding, protective equipment, firefighting devices, management software, logistics, medical equipment, electricity measurement clock, security system tool, audio and video, laser technique, and robot manufacturing took part in the meeting.
Though the two side’s trade revenue increase gradually annually, the total volume of commercial relations is behind the potential of the two countries and demand of Vietnamese commodities in Russia is so high.
Vietnam exports mobile phones and its accessories to Russia mostly accounting for 50.2 percent of total export revenue to the alien country.
The two countries decided to raise bilateral turnover to $10 billion by 2020 during the visit to Vietnam of Russian President V. Putin in 2013.
