Over 1,500 businesses attend supply-demand connectivity conference 2018

Goods supply-demand connectivity conference 2018 was opened at Vietnam International Trade Exhibition and Convention Center, the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre on November 22; attracting 1,500 businesses from 35 provinces and cities.

The conference, presided over by standing deputy chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem and deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai.
At the conference, enterprises and cooperatives introduced specialties in their provinces such as grape, Vietnamese apple and seaweeds from Binh Thuan province; green peel pomelo, Lai Vung mandarin and Cao Lanh mango from Dong Thap province; and dried snake head fish, shrimp, snakeskin gourami and red tilapila.
The conference’s organization board arranged an area showcasing specialties of Ben Tre province including coconut oil, coconut candy, banana candy and other farm produce.

Standing deputy chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem appreciated performance results of the program, saying it has created a tight connection and established a comprehensive cooperation relationship in the trading field between HCMC and other provinces and cities nationwide.
Three hours after the opening ceremony, 309 contracts and memorandum of understandings on goods supply and distribution were signed.
