Vietnam and RoK to sign FTA agreement this year

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed the Republic of Korea (RoK) former President Lee Myung-Bak yesterday during his visit to Vietnam.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed the Republic of Korea (RoK) former President Lee Myung-Bak yesterday during his visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his desire that Vietnam and the RoK continue to promote sustainable cooperation relations in the fields of economy, investment, tourist, politics, diplomacy, defense and security, labor and cultural exchange; aiming to bring the best benefits for the two country's peoples.

In addition, the Prime Minister also believed that with outstanding efforts the two countries will complete negotiation and sign Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as soon as possible, better in the end of the year.

President Lee Myung Bak said that the cooperative relations between the RoK and Vietnam have brought new steps of development not only in economy, investment, trade but also in cultural exchange in recent years.
