January FDI capital reaches US$ 1.3bln

As of January 20, Department of Foreign Investment under Ministry of Investment & Planning said the country issued 127 newly registered FDI projects with total capital of over US$ 1billion, an increase of 157.9 percent compared to the same period last year.

As of January 20, Department of Foreign Investment under Ministry of Investment & Planning said the country issued 127 newly registered FDI projects with total capital of over US$ 1billion, an increase of 157.9 percent compared to the same period last year. 

56 projects registered to add more investment capital with total additional registered capital of US$ 323.41million, a year on year rise of 19.2 percent.

In January 2016, total newly registered and additional capital from FDI projects reached US$ 1.33billion, up 101.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

From statictis, in January 2016 foreign investors invested in 16 sectors, of these, processing and manufacturing sector attracted 58 newly registered projects with total capital of US$ 905million, accounting for 67.8 percent of the total registered investment capital.
