Farm products stuck in Tan Thanh Border Gate

Crop shipments exported to China through the Tan Thanh Border Gate were halted last week.

Crop shipments exported to China through the Tan Thanh Border Gate were halted last week.

The gate has experienced overcapacity of trucks exporting watermelon, according to gate customs. The law only allows 200 trucks to cross rather than 500.

Another reason for the halt is due to an influx of ripe crops while storage remains over capacitated, according to Flora Quarantine department No.7, Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development.
