Dong Nai Industrial park attracts US$119.4 million for FDI projects

Industrial Zones in the southern province of Dong Nai attracted 14 foreign direct investment projects (FDI) in the first quarter of 2014, according to Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA).

Industrial Zones in the southern province of Dong Nai attracted 14 foreign direct investment projects (FDI) in the first quarter of 2014, according to Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA).

The zone authority granted licenses to 14 new foreign-invested projects worth US$119.4 million.

Though the new projects increased, total investment capital decreased by1.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

Average investment of a project also decreased, just achieving US$8.53 million per project while it was US$13.55 million for a project in the first quarter of 2013.

16 out of 85 existing projects added more capital at US$310.8 million, an increase of 300 percent compared to the same period last year. 

Hung Nghiep Formosa added more US$59.2 million to its project in Dong Nai Province; Formosa Taffeta increased US$37.8 percent for the project in the park.
