The Ho Chi Minh City-based Saigon Commercial Bank (Sacombank) has just opened its new Hoa Viet (China-Viet Nam) Branch for Chinese-speaking clients in the city’s District 5, home of its large Chinese community.

Located in Chinatown, the Hoa Viet Branch is the first of its kind in Viet Nam aiming to serve clients based on ethnicity.
Sacombank not only provides customers with modern products and professional customer services, but also continuously creates unique customer approaches.
The Hoa Viet Branch is a typical example, as it aims to serve not only Vietnamese-Chinese customers but also to attract potential customers from such nations and territories as China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
In order to offer the most professional services to the target client group, staff at the Hoa Viet Branch can all speak Chinese and forms are also in Chinese.
On its opening day the branch received deposits of VND16 billion, US$255,000, and 30 taels of gold.
