The event will feature more than 20 display booths of 40 businesses in various fields, such as confectionery, beverage, food, tea, coffee, fruits, spices, textile and garment.
The event aims to introduce Vietnamese products to Thai customers and contribute to the balance in trade between the two countries.
Vietnam and Thailand are implementing trade promotion programs to enhance bilateral trade turnover to US$20 billion by 2020.
Thailand is a potential market for Vietnamese products, notably fruits and dried fruits, spices and seafood. However, Thailand requires strict quality and food safety standards. Therefore local enterprises need to ensure product quality and deliver product that is competitive and affordable for the public. They must make the content of the packaging and labelling as clear as possible in the space available.
The 1st Vietnamese Goods Week in Thailand was held in 2016 and attracted nearly 150,000 visitors everyday.
